"Oh, my gawd, these are so fucking good!" Timothy moaned as he finished what had to be his eighth one at least. If this was how his mate normally ate… Damian had no frickin' clue how the little wolf managed to keep his shape.

Also, if he kept making those sounds while he ate, Damian would help his mate work off those pancakes right there on the kitchen table.

"I take it I'll be making these again?" Damian chuckled and bit into his own and yeah… they were awesome.

"For these babies, I'll pay you in blowjobs," Timothy purred and tucked into pancake number nine, albeit a bit slower this time.

Damian nearly choked. Blowjobs for pancakes? Yeah, he could live with that. "Is that per pancake, 'cause if so, you owe me big."

"Hm." His mate smiled. "Better make it per batch, I think. I wouldn't want to end up with a sore jaw."

"You know…" Damian started when the kitchen door suddenly opened and Jace came bursting in.

"Dame, I need your help with Maddox. He started feeling sick around the same time we got on pack lands and he collapsed on the way back." Jace turned back around in the doorway as soon as he'd said the words.

Damian got up, closely followed by Timothy.

Going down the hallway where the infirmary was located, Damian nearly collided with Leo as he came rushing out from one of the rooms. He didn't stop and made a steady beeline for where Maddox had been brought in.

Liam and Sol were already in the room and Leo went straight to the bed, clutching Maddox's hand and muttering soft words to him while looking green with worry. With Leo there, Maddox stirred and gravitated toward his mate, but he definitely didn't look like his usual, healthy lion self that Damian was used to seeing.

"How's he doing?" Jace asked the guys before heading to his cabinet and fishing out a sterile syringe.

"He just fainted," Leo said adamantly, reluctant to accept that anything else could be wrong with his mate. "His blood sugar is probably too low. He just needs to eat something; a steak or five and he will be fine, right?"

"Shapeshifters don't just faint Leo, not for something as trivial as skipping lunch," Damian told him.

Leo simply glared at him with his jaw clenching.

"It could have been something he ate, or maybe he was exposed to something at the werewolf pack," Timothy spoke up from behind him.

"Babe, we got this, okay?" Damian said to his mate. "Jace and I got this."

"I'll run some samples," Jace added as he stuck the needle into Maddox's arm and drew some blood.

Leo visibly winced and turned from the sight. Damian couldn't blame him, not after being a vampire's pincushion for months.

"I can help," Timothy insisted. "I work with blood every day; maybe I could…"

"Timothy," Damian said as he took Maddox's blood pressure. "You just don't qualify. Until recently, you didn't even know about shifters and you need to be knowledgeable in those sorts of things to do this.
